MAMAs Austin Names New President, Launches Website
The November 2015 issue of the Austin Lawyer, the Austin Bar Association's monthly publication, announced MAMAs Austin's wonderful news: our website has gone live! The article also explained that incoming president Stephanie Potter has taken the reins from Lauren Schoenbaum. Schoenbaum was an exception leader for the past two years and will continue to be an active member of the MAMAs Board.
The article also noted that MAMAs had more than 430 members, but as of today, we have 474! Evolving leadership and continued growth mark MAMAs Austin's continued success.
In other recent MAMAs news:
- Paulina Williams of Baker Botts and Jessica Neufeld of Munsch Hardt have joined the MAMAs Austin Board
- As of September 30, MAMAs Austin has an ex officio position on the Board of the Austin Bar Association
- On October 31, MAMAs Austin and the Travis County Women Lawyers Association held their first joint event, a family-friendly fall festival, which was a huge success and had wonderful turnout
- On November 4, MAMAs Austin founders Amy Beckstead and Jana Terry spoke at the University of Texas School of Law; they must have been inspiring, because several law student mothers joined our organization promptly afterward
